朱莉-沃尔特斯简介
沃尔特斯1950年2月22日生于英国伯明翰，在曼彻斯特工艺专科学校就读时，她的专业原本是护士，但毕业后的沃尔特斯很快便放弃了这份职业，转而一门心思地投入了表演行当。没有专业背景的沃尔特斯在英国演艺界有过多种身份，她有时是演员，有时又是歌手，有时甚至还从事舞蹈表演，有时又兼而有之。有志者事竟成。
经过艰苦不懈的努力，沃尔特斯终于在1980年登上电视荧屏，从此正式步入演艺圈。1983年，沃尔特斯在百老汇戏剧《丽塔的教育》中的表演极获好评，因此荣获过戏剧表演的最高奖“托尼奖”(Tony Award)，并因电影版的《丽塔的教育》而获得了奥斯卡影后的提名。
沃尔特斯的演艺生涯重在舞台与电视荧屏，重要的电影作品并不多，其中较为知名的有1987年的《私人服务》(Personal Services)和1991年的《跨越》(Stepping Out)，并曾在1988年与著名歌星菲尔-科林斯(Phil Collins)联袂主演了《巴斯特的选择》(Buster)。继《比利-埃略特》的大获成功之后，沃尔特斯今年还将出现在万众瞩目的哈里-波特系列之《哈里-波特与魔法师的石头》(Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone)一片里。
